[text] Are they really~? Well, nobody really needs to show emotions. But they naturally do.
[text] I am but curious to know why you are the way you are, Kasuka-kun (◕︿◕✿)
[ text: ] The reason is a lot more simple than you might realise.
[ text: ] I took my brother as an example of how not to act. His emotions are out of control; mine are completely under lock.
[ text: ] Perhaps I have taken it a bit too far, since it seems to unnerve so many people.
[ text: ] I don’t think many realise that I used to be normal.
Our muses are destined to meet in an Emergency waiting room
Somehow, Shizuo had managed to do it again. Although they had both been of the belief that he was past the stage of hurting himself due to picking up more than he could handle, apparently that wasn’t true. Far from it. Once more he has broken another bone – though this one Kasuka didn’t know the whereabouts of, and he was left waiting in the emergency room again.
The teen’s leg bounced up and down anxiously as he waited. Even if he knew that Shizuo would be okay, seeing the white walls and doctors running around frantically would cause worry for anyone, more so if they were waiting for a family member. It wasn’t something that he could help.
“Carry on doing that and you’ll end up hurting yourself instead, you know,”
Kasuka glanced up at the one who spoke and saw a complete stranger with his hands in his pockets and an amused smirk on his face. There wasn’t much special about him, minus perhaps the curious eye colour that he sported.
“Sorry,” he replied on instinct, though didn’t exactly have a reason to do so. “I can’t help it.” And if that wasn’t obvious… He wasn’t the only one who looked nervous around here after all.
The other’s amused look just increased even more.
“No worries, no worries! I know you’re just worried about Shizu-chan,” That made the teen start rather violently, especially since there was someone other than he and Shinra here waiting for his elder brother.
“Are you friends with my brother..?” He asked, almost sounding perplexed. The only other person that Shizuo spoke of was someone he hated (that damn flea I’m going to kill him!) and Kasuka couldn’t imagine that someone whom his brother despised so much would come and visit him in hospital.
With a hum, the red-eyed stranger said, “Not friends. I don’t think I could ever be friends with a monster like him—!”
a monster.
That was the only part of the sentence that Kasuka heard, and his fists clenched tightly in his lap. After a moment of silence, he stood up, looking straight at the stranger with an unimpressed look.
“I would appreciate it if you didn’t call brother a monster, and if you aren’t his friend, then please stop speaking to me. I’m not happy to be friendly with someone who calls him that.”
And the other laughed, as though Kasuka’s words were the most amusing thing he had ever heard. Kasuka decided he didn’t like this stranger much at all.
STILL HE IS COMPARING HIMSELF AND HIS LOVE WITH A WARM AND CUTE AND IDEK SEWER CAT HOW COME————- *RIPS OUT SHIRT* I DONT WANNA LIVE IN THIS WORLD ANYMORE

i’ll never understand kida and his character song i swear
[text] Then please make yourself clear. You always look so passive, Kasuka-kun. Where are your emotions?
[ text: ] They are inside of me. I just don’t have a need to show them.
[ text: ] You’re being very persistent about this, Orihara-san.
[text] So you consider yourself not to be interesting enough to be talked about? Then why are you an actor?
[ text: ] That isn’t what I meant either. You’re twisting my words.
[text] Then are you calling yourself an empty hole? Interesting. Please do continue talking.
[ text: ] No I am not. That wasn’t what I had meant to put across. I just mean there’s no point in going any further since there’s nothing interesting or unusual about all of this.
[text] You’re avoinding the subject, Kasuka-kun.
[text] And I am flattered to hear that (´◡ω◡`)
[ text: ] Ah. You caught me.
[ text: ] There really isn’t anything to talk about on the subject, however. You’re digging an empty hole right now.
[text] Because I am kindly asking you to (◕‿◕✿) so please explain yourself.
[text] Oh? Then why aren’t you smiling if you are content?
[ text: ] I see.
[ text: ] You’re beginning to sound like a psychiatrist, Orihara-san.
[text] Oh? No I don’t know what you mean by that. Please explain yourself (・ε・。)
[text] How come you’re not feeling much, Kasuka-kun? Then, what is your normal emotional state? Are you usually a happy person?
[ text: ] Why?
[ text: ] Usually I am content, just as I am now. If content is equivalent to happiness, then I suppose that I am.
Send "I'd die for you." for my character's reaction.
If there is one thing that Kasuka never expected to hear from the informant, it’s that.
There is no reason for him to say something like that to the brother of his nemesis, and Kasuka knows that very well. They barely know each other and the sentiment certainly isn’t returned, all things considered. If anything, he’s only confused over the words, wondering why they had been said and if there’s an ulterior motive that he just hasn’t realised yet. It seems more likely to be the latter, actually.
It seems too surreal and too fake to actually believe, and he knows that. So he doesn’t take the words to heart and he stops himself from believing them because that’s easier then falling into a possible trap, and he’s far from stupid and knows how to avoid them.
Kasuka shakes his head.
“No you wouldn’t,” he says, blinking sluggishly at the other. “You hold your own life in high value. Throwing it away for me would be counterproductive,” At least, that’s what he thinks, anyway. For all he knows, he could be completely off and that isn’t the case at all.
But he doubts he’s wrong. Although he isn’t able to read Orihara-san as he is anyone else, if there’s one thing he does know, it’s that the man likes where he is now and likes being alive, if only so he can observe the humans he loves so much. And antagonise Shizuo, if nothing else.
“Was there anything else you wanted, Orihara-san?”
