shxzuo:

【✖】He was the only one to blame for all the havoc that had happened not only in Ikebukuro, but also in their lives. Some for good, some for the worse. Always fearing being left alone, yet getting used to live a distant life from everyone around himself; A monster can’t change, right?

But Shizuo was grateful to many; Celty, Shinra, Kadota, and quite a few more he could actually very well think of, yet Kasuka was the one he knew he’d always have to thank. Although it was a certain event that had caused his loss over any control he had, ending with a fallen over refrigerator and some broken bones, he had never blamed the actor for what had happened that very day. He would’ve, eventually, somehow find out about this inhuman strength that he possessed. Not something to feel proud of, only something that would bring him and his friends only trouble.

——Head would be pulled back, their contact breaking ever so only to have optics of a honey colour widen in surprise as the male would stare at the youth. Even if incapable of showing them, having Kasuka express how he felt truly warmed him up. His heart drummed against his ribcage, feeling the corner of his lips twitch upwards, a smile curving upon his visage and growing wider with each passing moment. Crimson had dusted over his facial as his grin had quickly been replaced with a sheepish smile, feeling embarrassment wash over him at the sudden manifest of happiness. It was rare hearing such words come from the younger, but those words were enough to make what seemed a surreal happiness bubble within the brute.

Face had visibly softened, arms looping around the other male’s slim waist as he pulled him close, the warmth of their bodies bringing comfort when he’d close any distance that had been separating them. He held him tightly, burying his head in the youth’s shoulder. I know… Muffled words had been mumbled out, yet the smile he wore only grew in size.

                                                                  God- is he happy.

It was impossible for Kasuka to fear Shizuo because he knew that his brother would never intentionally hurt him. Even if the other thought himself to be a monster, Kasuka would never agree with that. Unintentionally could even be understood, and the fear just wasn’t there. It never had been.

Though they both saw themselves as something inhumane, the same couldn’t be said for how they saw each other. Kasuka had first initially blamed the elder for how he was, considering the lack of restraint on his emotions was seen as an example of what not to be – but with age came understanding, and that blame lessened and lessened. Now it was just a matter of how the talent did adore his brother, well and truly. But his view of himself would not change any time soon, and he doubted much would change that.

The smile was next to radiant and Kasuka wished that he could return it. Though there was a minute twitch of his lips, it wouldn’t move any further than that, as if he was as frozen in that one expression as always, despite how happy he was. As much as Shizuo, at least, or maybe even further than that. But then, even the smallest change in expression was enough to convey the impact of this all was having on him, of the words and being this close to his brother – it had its impact, and it was showing. And that smile would be ingrained in his memory for who knows how long.

In return, Kasuka’s own arms wrapped around the elder’s torso, squeezing him and finding comfort in the arms holding him close. He nodded again, pressed against Shizuo’s front and his forehead against his shoulder, head ducked down only slightly as if to hide any expression that might show. And hell if they weren’t both happy. Good, he said, and squeezed him again.
